Overview

dart_to_xxx are a set of programs that convert from DART state vector format (a 1D fortran array) file to the native file(s) a model needs to advance. See the documentation for each of the individual model pages for more information on the details of each converter:

Since this program is invoked from a unique directory for every ensemble member, we have found it convenient to link to default filenames, e.g. (dart_restart).

NAMELIST

This namelist is read from the file input.nml. Namelists start with an ampersand '&' and terminate with a slash '/'. Character strings that contain a '/' must be enclosed in quotes to prevent them from prematurely terminating the namelist.

&dart_to_cam_nml
   dart_to_cam_input_file  = 'dart_restart',
   dart_to_cam_output_file = 'caminput.nc',
   advance_time_present    = .false.,
   /

&dart_to_pop_nml
   dart_to_pop_input_file = 'dart_restart',
   advance_time_present   = .false.
   /

&dart_to_clm_nml
   dart_to_clm_output_file = 'dart_restart',
   advance_time_present    = .false.,
   /

See each of the converter html pages for details on the namelist defaults and values.
