Singapore-Delft Water Alliance
Singapore-Delft Water Alliance (SDWA) is a joint Centre of Excellence
for Water Knowledge which involves PUB (Singapore), National University
Singapore and WL | Delft Hydraulics (The Netherlands). SDWA is hosted by
National University Singapore, but provides research home to scientists
and engineers from all partner organisations and is in part supported by
National Research Foundation.
The main research objective of the alliance is to advance science and
technology as well as test bed findings on relevant real-world problems.
SDWA research agenda encompasses entire hydrological cycle, and is based
four environmental observatories backed-up by extensive computing
environment. In addition to research activities, SDWA actively pursues
educational programmes. The educational programmes take form of short
courses for professional engineers, new joint M.Sc./M. Eng. programme in
collaboration with Technical University Delft and Ph.D. programmes.
The presentation will cover several on-going research programmes in SDWA
in hydrology and oceanography.
