This directory contains SourceMods needed to run the multi-instance versions of CESM.
Some of the bugfixes are for scripts, some are for source code.
Please make sure you use the version that matches the version of CESM you are running.

The DART setup scripts assume that you will untar these files into your
HOME directory. They are small, so this should not be a terrible burden.

The sourcemods have changed very little through time, but there is one
(lightly tested) modification to the src.pop2/initial.F90 file made on
September 11 2013. Each file has a comment block at the top that references
the parent source file. Comparison against that file will identify the
modifications necessary for data assimilation with DART.

The SourceMods dated 3 Oct 2014 contain a CLM SnowHydrologyMod.f90 that has an improved
snow grain radius calculation as outlined in http://bugs.cgd.ucar.edu/show_bug.cgi?id=1934

Turns out the original version of the DART_SourceMods_cesm1_2_1_23Apr2014.tar
was missing the rtm.buildnml.csh. That has been corrected. The corrected file
"DART_SourceMods_cesm1_2_1_23Apr2014.tar" actually has a date of 14  Nov 2014.

There is an additional SourceMod that adds stability to CAM/WACCM assimilations.
Turns out the lt_archive.sh script for cesm1_1_1 had a bug that prevented using HTAR.

Putting in the fixes for the 'longwave radiation energy balance error' reported
in bugzilla 1927. These are contained in shr_dmodel_mod.F90 and shr_strdata_mod.F90
