I am a scientist in the Institute for Mathematics Applied to the Geosciences (IMAGe) at the National Center for Atmospheric Research (NCAR). I am also the head of the Geophysical Statistics Project (GSP), one of the five sections that comprise IMAGe. For the past decade, GSP has been a leader in training and research emphasizing the synergy between statistics and the geosciences.

My research in GSP focuses on developing statistical methodology for analyzing the complex, multivariate data that are typical in the geosciences. Much of my current work centers around the analysis of regional climate model output, the assessment of the impact of climate change, and the design and analysis of computer experiments. These projects bring together a broad range of statistical research areas: spatial and spatial-temporal methods, hierarchical models, statistical computing, and methods for analyzing extremes.

GSP has an active visitor program. If you would like to arrange a visit or are interested in the work we do at NCAR, please contact me.
