Things to do in Boulder

Rather than reinvent the wheel, I'll just point you to the CU Boulder Planning a Visit site, the Boulder Daily Camera site for daily events, and the Boulder Internet Guide. I'm sure they have more energy to devote to this than I do.

Bring your hiking boots, rollerblades, anything for any outdoor activity, basically. You can rent bicycles, rollerblades, etc. on or near the Pearl Street Mall.

I would not sleep well if I did not mention that Boulder has a terrific collection of diverse restaurants and brewpubs for such a small city. Ethiopian, Indian, Nepalese, Thai, Chinese, Japanese, Mexican, Mediterranean, Italian ... the list goes on, with lots of duplicates. (We're not talking "formula restaruants" or chains.) Now that I think about it, there are only two McDonalds I can think of, but I know of at least 5 brewpubs -- that's a good sign in my book.

Getting around in Boulder

The Boulder public transportation system (GO Boulder) works extremely well and is one of the more useful public transportation systems in the U.S. (in my opinion). The Millennium is right on the Boulder Creek Path; a paved path that meanders right through the heart of Downtown Boulder and up Boulder Canyon. It is heavily used by all kinds of bikers, bladers, joggers, and, occasionally, ... bears.
